We’re heading to the Peak District for a cracking weekend of cycling based around Matlock. Expect great roads, proper hills, and scenery that makes the climbing (almost) worth it.
The plan is to ride on both Saturday and Sunday, but this is a flexible weekend — if you can only make one day, that’s absolutely fine. Matlock is only around a 90-minute drive, so it’s very doable as a day trip if you don’t fancy staying over.
The timing is deliberately just after the Mallorca trip, so everyone should have some decent legs by then… or at least no excuses 😄 Whether you’ve been abroad riding or not, routes will be sociable and regrouped, with café stops very much part of the plan.
More details on routes, accommodation options and meeting points will follow, but for now stick the dates in your diary and get ready for some classic Peak District riding with good company.
