Get ready for a classic summer sportive in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales! The Black Sheep Brewery Sportive offers a superb day out on the bike with stunning scenery, rolling country lanes and the perfect post-ride reward at one of the UK’s most iconic breweries.
The event starts and finishes at the Black Sheep Brewery in Masham (Ripon, North Yorkshire), with two fully signposted route options to suit different abilities:
Both routes take in some of the best quiet roads and scenic climbs the Dales has to offer, with feed stops and support along the way. Mechanical and medical support, route marking and a pick-up wagon are all included.
After you’ve tackled the countryside and conquered the route, there’s no better way to celebrate than with a well-earned pint included with your entry in the brewery’s beer garden, plus food and refreshments on site.
Whether you’re aiming for a personal challenge or a sociable ride with mates, this sportive combines a fantastic ride with Yorkshire hospitality and a proper finish. Entry usually opens early on the day from around 08:00, with the ride kicking off mid-morning.
