
If you’re new to the Club, returning to cycling after a break, or simply fancy a more relaxed, easy spin with friendly company, our starter rides are an ideal way to get involved. These rides are designed to welcome newcomers, support those recovering from injury, and offer a sociable outing at a gentler pace.
Held on the second Sunday of each month, these no-drop rides are usually around 20 miles and often follow a figure-of-eight route, giving riders the option to cut the ride short at roughly the halfway point if they wish. The pace is set by the slowest rider, ensuring there’s no pressure to keep up.
Each ride is led by a guest ride leader, who brings their own style and friendly guidance to the route, helping to make every ride supportive and enjoyable.
Expect a sociable atmosphere with plenty of opportunity to chat and enjoy coffee and cake at a local café afterwards. Whether you’re new to group riding or just looking for a steadier ride, all are welcome!
