Cyclo-cross hosted by Scunthorpe

Round 5 of the Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association 2025/26 Season.

Sleaford Wheelers will be racing at the Normanby Hall, Scunthorpe Cyclo-cross event on Sunday 5th October – a great day out for riders and spectators alike!

What is Cyclo-cross?

Cyclo-cross is a fast-paced off-road cycling discipline, mixing grass, mud, gravel, and the occasional obstacle where riders may need to hop off and carry their bikes. It’s a fantastic way to test your bike handling, fitness, and determination – and it’s always full of energy and atmosphere.

What to Expect

• A challenging, twisty course on a flat (but fast) circuit
• Races for different age groups and abilities
• A brilliant chance to try something new if you’ve never raced before
• A family-friendly atmosphere – fun to watch as well as ride
• Refreshments and plenty of support from the club and local community

Whether you’re a seasoned racer or curious to give it a go, Cyclo-cross is one of the most accessible forms of cycle sport. All you need is enthusiasm (and maybe a change of clothes – it can get muddy!).
