Reliability Rides are a sociable and easy way to kick start your cycling season in the New Year.

They are staged as a test of early-season fitness; these simple events are based on the concept of completing the course within defined time bands - for example, between 3 and 5 hours for 60 miles. However reliability trials are not races, but rather about achieving personal targets in friendly company.

Reliability Ride 12th March 2017
For the final reliability ride this season there will two routes planned. Both routes begin with a rolling 20 miles out to Long Bennington, shortly after this the routes split, riders who are not with the lead pack at this stage are asked to take the slightly shorter of the 2 routes.

Both routes head down in to the Vale of Belvoir, the longer route taking in a couple more hills and 6 more miles. Then coming back through Croxton to Little Ponton, Ropsley and home.

Registration will take place in the Market Place at 9:00am the riders tackling the ride will be timed from the Market place. The timekeepers will be at the horseshoes car park (DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE!) waiting to record your effort. There are no ride leaders as such, so you are expected to familiarise yourself with the route and carry all necessary food and kit.
