Lincolnshire Road Riding Association Nev Crane Points Trophy, we won with a clear margin in 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018
To win this trophy clubs are awarded points for every rider who enters an LRRA event, more points for riding the event and points for being placed in the event. Therefore the club that wins it is usually the one with the most riders entered.

SWCC Zwift Thursday 10 mile time trial series!
Good news! British Cycling have conveniently organized a Thursday 10 mile TT series on Zwift, which we will use as our virtual tt league. Even better, each event runs twice, at 12:20pm & 7:30pm to help out those of you who have other commitments or share a turbo trainer.

  • Best 5 from 8 rounds to count
  • Same points system as our real life 10 league
  • Please put (swcc) after your surname in Zwift so I can easily identify you in the results
  • Handicaps will be based on our 10 course.
  • Vets standards based on whatever the LRRA use.
  • Prizes to be announced but may well include certificates, out of date High5 gels and trophies made out of toilet roll cardboard inners
  • If you're really keen, you can ride in both events on each day and your best time will count
  • Use the companion app to sign up for each event. That way you'll know your start time in advance (just like in real life!)

Have I missed anything? Who's on board?!

SWCC Tour de StayatHome

On bank holiday weekend 8th - 10th May, Sleaford Wheelers Cycling Club will be doing all kinds of cycling-related activities at our homes.
Our charity time trial was supposed to take place at Easter, but got cancelled due to the coronavirus. We still want to do something to help raise money for St Barnabas Hospice. And also to promote staying at home! To donate please head over to the

"just giving" page here (Click)

Midweek SAGA ride Friday 8th May 9:00am.

Virtual SAGA ride and café stop - Friday 8th May 9:00am in aid of St Barnabas.

This is an invitation to anyone and everyone to join us for a very steady morning SAGA style ride followed by the usual saga style cafe stop for refreshments. All from the comfort of your own home.

As we are raising much needed funds for St Barnabas this year any donations to the cause would be much appreciated. How about donating the cost of a real café stop? To donate please head over to the "just giving" page here (Click)

There are two ways to take part in the ride:-

For non-Zwifters - 9:00am to 10:30 on a turbo and upload a photo to Strava/Facebbok.

For Zwifters - a group ride will start at 9:00 am prompt and we’ll go wombling around the Surrey Hills. No one gets dropped, unless you stop pedalling. You need to be following Chris Close on Zwift to get an invite for the event. Go to "Zwifting Now" on your Zwift companion App, Find the “search icon” and look for Chris Close (SWCC), then click to follow.

Cafe Stop:-

Everyone is invited to join us for a coffee and cake break via the meeting app "ZOOM." To join in you would need to sign up for Zoom (it's free) and download the app for your Laptop/Tablet/Phone or whatever. Click here to sign up and download.

Two meetings have been set up, one to test your system on Thursday evening and then one for the Cafe stop on Friday.

For the test session click here sometime between 7:30pm and 8'Oclock on Thursday.

The Cafe Stop will be open from 11:00am to 11:30 on Friday morning. To join in click here at sometime around 11:00am on Friday.

Leadenham course.

Sadly, as these are not normal times, this event can only be run on specific guidelines to comply with current government and CTT guidance therefore please note the following key points:

Please respect social distancing at all times especially in the start and finish areas.

Only three riders are allowed in the start area at any time so please arrive within three minutes of your start time.

No kit can be left in the start area (there is a space on the opposite side of the road where kit may be left).

There should be no congregating at any time during the event.

The results will not be read out but will be posted on the website and on Facebook, as soon as possible after the event.

Please don’t forget your race number and your working rear light.

For those of you who have not taken part in this event before, the start is on the Sleaford Road at the bottom of Leadenham Hill, a few yards east of the traffic lights.
If you need to contact me before the event, please phone 07747 500289
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow,
Good luck and enjoy the ride. Julie Close

Hill Climb Start Sheet.

As you will see your start time is not necessarily the same as the number you will be wearing. The clocks will be started at 10:00 am but the first rider is not off until 10:05, this is to give us time to synchronise the watches and to get the finish stopwatch up to the finish line.
