A very warm welcome to the women's section of Sleaford Wheelers Cycling Club.
We have created these pages to provide information for our women members and those women who are thinking of riding or racing with us. Our aim is to encourage women of all ages and abilities to get on their bikes and have fun while at the same time getting fit and meeting new friends.
Cycling on your own is great but cycling in a group is so much more fun!
Welcome to the Sleaford Wheelers Women's section! We’re a fabulous mix of pedal-powered adventurers, united by a love of cycling and a passion for having a laugh along the way. Whether you’re a Lycra-lover or more of a "coffee and cake stop" connoisseur, you’ll find a friendly bunch ready to cheer you on (and maybe race you to the café).
Our rides are as varied as our members – from steady-paced social spins to the occasional "let’s show the lads how it’s done" sessions. And don’t worry, we never leave anyone behind – unless it’s on the way to the cake counter, in which case it’s every woman for herself!
So, if you fancy joining a supportive, slightly bonkers group of women who love cycling as much as they love a good natter, come and give us a try. Lycra optional, smiles mandatory!
