Join us for our annual festive night cycle—the Christmas Lights Night Ride 2025! Get into the holiday spirit by decking out your bike and yourself in your best festive gear as we pedal through the local area to enjoy the Christmas light displays.
The Route & Pace
This is a fun, social ride at a comfortable pace (approx. 15mph).
• Distance: Approximately 35 miles (56 km)
• Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours riding
• Route Type: road, following Sparrow’s route with minor detours to maximise Christmas lights viewing.
Essential Gear & Safety
This is a self-supported night ride. Your safety is essential!
1. Lights are Mandatory: You must have powerful front and rear lights sufficient for dark country lanes.
2. Helmet: Mandatory for all riders.
3. Dress Code: Usual cold weather kit with optional fancy dress attachments and extra Christmas lights on your bike/helmet. The brighter, the better!
4. Preparedness: As usual bring a spare inner tube, tools, water, and snacks. With it being cold and dark, please ensure your bike is in good working order before the ride.
