TROPHIES AND AWARDS

The Club has a number of trophies and awards, mostly made at the annual dinner and prize presentation, and for some of those awards riders need to submit a claim - see below for details. 
All awards are for 1st Claim members of Sleaford Wheelers CC only (unless otherwise stated).
One rider one award’ per event (e.g. if the winner of an event is also a Veteran - the winner takes the overall award; the next-placed Veteran rider takes the Vet’s award).
Awards on Standard (for Veterans) are calculated using the VTTA’s current Standard tables.
Best All Rounder awards are calculated on aggregate mph/time and Standard awards are aggregate ‘plus’ on Standard mph/time

Age categories:

  • Juvenile age 12 to 16th birthday
  • Junior age 16 to the end of the year of the rider’s 18th birthday
  • Senior 18-39
  • Veteran (Vet) age 40+
Claims for awards (especially for Championship and BAR awards) and records should be made to Rob Frisby frisbrough@aol.com no later than 31st October; if requested a result sheet should also be provided.

10 miles - Thursday 27th July Course C10/10; 7.00pm
15 miles - Any Open TT to count
25 miles - Witham Wheelers Open TT, Saturday 1st July, course C25/22; 2:00pm
30 miles - Any Open TT to count
50 miles - Any Open TT to count
100 miles - Any Open TT to count
12-hour - Any Open TT to count
Hillclimb - Sunday 2oth August, 10.00am
    

Road Racing
To be confirmed.

Cyclo Cross    
Awarded to the highest-placed riders (in their relevant categories) in the Lincolnshire Cycle Cross Championship League.
Grass Track    
Awarded to the rider with the best overall positions throughout the season in scratch and handicap events in Lincolnshire events.
 
Best All Rounder (BAR) Awards
Time-trial awards for riders performing over a range of distances, the best performances over the relevant distances in Open TT events to count (for Junior and Juvenile BAR awards the qualifying rides may also be those in Club events).
 
Qualifying events
Club BAR: 50 miles, 100 miles and 12-hour
Ladies Long Distance: 25 miles, 50 miles and 100 miles
Vets Long Distance: 25 miles, 50 miles and 100 miles
Mens Short Distance: 10 miles, 25 miles and 50 miles
Ladies Short Distance: 10 miles, 25 miles and 50 miles
Vets Short Distance: 10 miles, 25 miles and 50 miles
Junior: Two rides each at 10 miles and 25 miles
Juvenile: One ride each at 10 miles and 25 miles

Awarded to the riders with the most points gained on scratch and handicap (where awarded) in:

The 7-mile and 10-mile leagues (where final overall positions are to count)
The Jack O'Connor Interclub 25 (Thursday June?) (to be confirmed)

The Witham Wheelers 25 Open (July 1st 2023). Nominated as our Championship 25 Nev Crane Trophy and LRRA 25.
