The 7 League has rounded off a very busy season, with some outstanding performances and tough competition in the leagues. The overall winner of the 7 League is Dominic Righini-Brand, who has made great progress throughout the season, although he was hotly pursued by our top Junior rider Samuel Howes. Who in turn had Gav Culshaw and Devon Morgan snapping at his heels. Callum Evans takes the Juvenile category with a clear margin. The Women’s League was no less hotly contested between our top senior Jo Howes and her Junior challenger Georgia Lancaster, With Georgia just pipping her in the results. Second senior woman is Evgeniya Righini-Brand and Fiona Lindley in third place. The great leveller of the league is the handicap competition which became a clear win for the newcomer to the club Shaun McCarthy closely followed by Nigel Johnson, but yet again Georgia Lancaster was in a close battle with Fiona Lindley for third place. For the more mature contingent of Sleaford Wheelers there is the Vets League (riders over 40). A brilliant performance from Jo Howes saw her take full points in each of the events, but second place was again hotly contested by one of our own Super Vets, Dave Ashley and a much younger pretender Gav Culshaw. In the end there was nothing to split them as they share second place.
