Cycle Recovery

The Wheelers have signed the Club up to a cycle recovery scheme, which is set up to get you and your bike back should you suffer a breakdown (UK) that can’t be fixed, I know many of you travel far and wide on bikes so for £15:00 per year it seems like a good deal to me. When signing up you will need to link yourself to Sleaford Wheelers.
I have attached a flyer here for your info and if you have any questions they were pretty good on the phone.

A pair of Powered Roof Mounted Cycle Carriers
Made for SAAB by THULE but can of course be used on any other vehicle that can be fitted with roof bars.
These enable cycles to be lifted onto roof with no effort at all as they have a cylinder which is charged with energy when the upright arm is pulled down into the horizontal position.
When the cycle is fastened with the seat and handlebar clamps it needs a slight lift by hand which automatically disengages the lock then the powered ram supplies the energy for a controlled lift to put the bicycle onto the roof and into the wheel clamps.
To lower the bicycle just lift the wheels out of the travelling position and release the locking clip and the bicycle can be lowered gently to the ground, using the resistance in the cylinder to control the descent.
