ENTERING OPEN EVENTS Click for information

Lincolnshire Road Riding Association (LRRA)
WE NEED YOU ALL TO ENTER events on behalf of the Club in 2010 – you ride, the club gets the points.  Even better, you take a prize and we get even more points, and you may get an award yourself!  All events need a standard CTT Open Event entry form sent to the organiser at least two weeks before the event.  Don’t forget, as late entry = no ride = no points.  Some events in the 2011 calendar are not the same as for 2010, so TAKE NOTE OF DATES

Note    any Lincolnshire 50-mile event will count for the Association’s BAR but those wishing to use any event other than the Championship event will also need to submit an additional entry form and fee. Remember there are additional awards for juvenile girls, juvenile boys, junior girls, junior boys, and ladies.  We’ll be chasing you to make sure you entry is in!

Hi All

As some of you already know, the plan on Sunday 30th is to do a non-stop 3 hour ride starting at 8am from the Market Square. This is to accommodate those going to the Club Dinner.

The route will be circular doing  45  miles (or so) at a steady pace.  There is no designated shorter run but plenty of opportunity for you to cut a bit out if you wish.

Market Square - Kirkby La Thorpe - Ewerby - Anwick(ish) - Ruskington - Bloxholm - Ashby de la Launde - Navenby - Brant Broughton - Brandon - Marston - Barkston - Belton - Londonthorpe - Welby - Oasby -Swarby - Silk Willoughby - Sleaford.

Future weeks - another run option for fitter riders

As the season approaches and some may wish to train on Sundays, I'm suggesting that any riders who wish to do so leave the Market Square five minutes before the official clubrun (ie  9.10).  In this case, it will be up to the riders concerned to determine a pace that suits them and to decide whether to wait for stragglers, punctures, loo stops etc. Similarly, riders will decide amongst themselves whether to follow the published route, stop at the cafe etc. Riders considering this option need to judge whether this is the right choice for their level of fitness and ensure they are equipped to deal with problems, find their way etc. in the event of being dropped.

Of course, if you choose the official clubrun, you will be expected to comply with the published rules concerning pace, etiquette etc. for these social rides.

Cheers Dave

Hi Folks

A further block of Turbo Sessions has been booked starting on Thursday 13 January - all sessions are 7.30-9.30pm. We have to fit in with Parish Council meetings so there are a few weeks when there is no session, including this week.

The programme is as follows:

January: 13th, 20th
February: 3rd, 10th, 24th
March: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th (last session).

As previously, it costs £2 to turbo and £1 for those who just come along and have a chat and a hot drink (or drinks).

Cheers

Dave
