Sat Rides - Rough Guide

Intended as an introduction to Club Cycling this is a social ride every first and third Saturday leaving the Hub Car Park at 10.15am returning at about 1pm Rides typically consist of a 60 to 90 min ride into the wind to a local cafe for a half hour stop followed by a 30 - 60 min ride down wind back to Sleaford.
Typically rides average 10 - 13mph and cover 20 - 30 miles.
The pace and duration of the ride varies depending on the mix of riders with faster loops put in to entertain progressing riders as required whilst the main ride continues at a social pace.
Typical cafe stops are Belton Garden Centre, Ruskington Garden Centre, Heckington Wind Mill, Swaton Brewery, Navenby Cafe, Roman Cafe A52, Nocton Heath Truck Stop (closed in winter).
If you are new to riding and not sure about your fitness the Club Captains will be happy to discuss this with you (we were all beginners once so don't be shy) and doing so will enable them to plan the ride accordingly and / or to give advice regarding training to reach this level.
